A studio that carries the consequences of its engineering.
Manko Labs is the technology and digital-transformation arm of the Group Manko ecosystem. We design, engineer and operate the group’s technology ventures — and we bring the same discipline to client engagements.
We are operators who build software, not a vendor who sells it.
Most of the platforms we have built run businesses inside our own group. When the dispatch system is slow, the group’s riders feel it. When the access rules are wrong, the group’s exposure is real. That changes how you engineer.
It is also why our advice tends to be conservative where it should be: we know what it costs to maintain a clever decision for three years.
Four positions that shape every engagement.
Business first, technology second
Technology that is not tied to a commercial objective is expenditure, not investment. We insist on the link before we build.
Adoption is the deliverable
A system nobody uses is a failed project no matter how well it was engineered. Change work is in scope, not an optional extra.
Built for these conditions
Mobile-first users, variable connectivity, mobile money, staff turnover. Systems designed for ideal conditions fail in the markets we serve.
Honesty over the sale
We say when a cheaper option is better, when a project should wait, and when we are not the right partner. It costs us engagements and earns us the right ones.
The engineering core of a venture group.
Group Manko is a West African investment, development and venture-building group. Manko Labs is its technology arm: we design and engineer the group’s digital ventures, and we operate them.
For clients, that has two practical consequences. First, our technology is ours — not procured, licensed or resold. Second, we have run the systems we recommend, in this market, at real volume, with real staff.

Team profiles pending
To be inserted here: named leadership profiles with photographs, backgrounds and areas of responsibility, plus the studio’s certifications and partner accreditations. We are not publishing invented biographies or logos in the meantime.
Building from Accra is an advantage, not a discount.
The constraints of this market — mobile-first users, metered data, intermittent connectivity, mobile money, cash-sensitive operations, high staff turnover — produce better engineering discipline than an environment where you can assume everything works. Systems built to hold here tend to hold anywhere. We are not a low-cost offshore option and we do not compete on rate; we compete on whether the thing still works two years after launch.
What buyers ask us first.
How large is the team?
A small senior team, extended by specialists for specific engagements. We staff for judgement rather than headcount, and the people who scope your work deliver it.
What is the relationship with Group Manko?
Manko Labs is the technology and digital-transformation arm of the group. We build and operate the group’s technology ventures, and we take external client engagements independently. Client work is walled off from group venture activity, and that separation is written into engagement terms.
Why should we trust a studio rather than a large firm?
Because you get the senior people on the actual work. Where scale genuinely matters — a multi-country ERP programme, for instance — we will tell you a large systems integrator is the better fit rather than take the engagement and struggle.
Do you take equity instead of fees?
Occasionally, for ventures where we believe in the model and the founders. It is the exception, it requires a genuine partnership structure, and it never replaces the discipline of a proper commercial arrangement.
Work with the people who will build it.
The first conversation is with the people who would scope and deliver your engagement. Bring the objective, and we will be direct about whether we are the right partner.
Projects scoped after discovery. We qualify on objective, timeline and project size before any proposal.
